Bringing Science to Life

Presented by: High Tech Business Council’s Bio Cluster

October 5 and 6, 2006
Clarion Riverside Hotel
Rochester, New York

AGENDA

Concentrating on three distinct tracks, we  bring together industry leaders to participate in seminars, sessions, technical talks, and case studies providing high-level information and background about the Biotechnology and Life Sciences Industries in upstate New York. Additionally, opportunities will be afforded for companies to promote themselves, make connections and generally share information in the spirit of mutual benefit.

Education & Training Track – Seminars and sessions that provide high-level information and background about the biotechnology and life sciences industries in the region.

Research & Technology Track – Creates a venue for the presentation of detailed technical talks and case studies from researchers active in educational and corporate laboratories. The presentations will emphasize the science & technology being investigated or developed, as well as the potential applications of the research.

Business Development & Finance Track – Afford VC and Biotech Companies an opportunity to promote themselves, establish a common interest, make connections, arrange for follow up meetings and conduct business. The emphasis for the Biotech company presentations is to be on the business aspects of the company: business plan, market potential, competitive assessment, management team, etc. The emphasis for the VC presentations is to be on the services and resources available from the VC: their investment strategy, market niche, location of offices, track record, etc.
